The Best Robot Vacuum and Mop Combo

The Q Revo is a good choice if you're looking for a mid-priced robot vacuum and mop. It's got a fantastic mopping capabilities, but is lacking some of the features of its more expensive sibling.

In tests it was able to eliminate pet hair and dry oats from carpets with a medium pile. It does not use LIDAR however, like cheaper models do to locate your home.

The iRobot Roomba S9+ is one of the top robot vacuums. It is loaded with features and impressive cleaning power, such as the dirt compartment built into the charging base. The robot will learn your cleaning habits, and suggest automated schedules to give you an effortless cleaning experience.

Setup is easy, thanks to the iRobot Home app that walks you through the procedure. Once everything is connected, you can start the automated cleaning process at the touch of the button. You can choose the general clean option that focuses on the removal of larger particles like rice and cereal. You can also opt for two thorough mappings to ensure that the entire home is thoroughly cleaned.

This vacuum works well on floors that are unfinished and carpets with low pile. It sucks up large items and doesn't lose suction as quickly as some other models, and it can even pick up pet hair with ease. It's a challenge with carpets that are high-pile or plush however iRobot says that future models will be more efficient.

The S9+ is a new design from iRobot that concentrates on improving edge and corner cleaning. It's the very first Roomba that has a flat-fronted D-shaped design. The company hopes that this will allow it to fit into walls and furniture. It's an improvement over the hockey puck-shaped robovacs which are standard, but we found it to be just marginally better than circular models.

iRobot also claims the S9+ comes with an advanced filtering system that blocks tiny dust particles and allergens from circulating within your home. It's a nice premise, but we're not convinced it's enough to justify the premium price price.

Its intelligent navigation system makes use of a combination of sensors to remember your home's layout and vSLAM technology to map the interior. This allows it to stay clear of obstacles like stairs and other barriers and to clean up your whole home in the most efficient manner possible. The iRobot Home app lets you manage the robot and plan cleaning times, as well as set up virtual boundary markers, so that it knows to avoid areas that require more attention.

2. Roborock Q Revo

Roborock Q Revo is a robot that combines mopping and vacuuming. Its vacuum settings are as good as those on more expensive models. And its mopping system is superior because its spinning pads clean your floors better than a vibrating pad.

The only drawback is the lack of a second brush for deeper cleaning. But that's not a big deal when you're looking to purchase one of the top robots available. The robo-vac's tank for dust is also bigger than those on many of its rivals, and it takes just two or three cycles to fill it up, even with the maximum dirt level.

For the mopping system, I was amazed by its ability to scrub tough dirt off my floors. The two mopping modes that it has that are less abrasive than the more powerful ones, generate minimal noise, allowing you to work or even watch TV without interruption. If it comes across an object, such as a wall or piece of furniture, it gently bumps into it and moves on.

The Q Revo is unique in that it can run almost completely on its own, with no user involvement. The dock of the robo-vac is multifunctional and will automatically move garbage into a bin hidden. It also washes and dries the clean water tank. The app is capable of notifying you when something needs attention, like the clean water tank running low or a scheduled cleaning session that was cancelled due to a stuffed dust bin.

You can also create and merge actual rooms to alter how the Q Revo manages your home. This is an excellent feature for those who have multiple rooms in your home that have different flooring materials or if there's clutter that needs to be removed frequently, like toys, clothes and books. The robot vacuum was also among the top performers in my tests cleaning up debris from both carpets as well as hardwood floors in the first pass. It can vacuum up even wet spills. I suggest drying the area with a towel prior to sending it to.

3. Ecovacs Deebot X2 Omni

The X2 Omni has all of the features you'd expect from a premium robot vacuum and mop and more. Like the iRobot Roomba S9+, it comes with a powerful vacuum that has a powerful suction that cleans carpet and hard floors, and the mop's rotating design that can scrub tough staining. It also has an auto-cleaning station that automatically cleans and empty the mop pads to keep them clean and ready to be reused. It also features a new sensor system that is able to better recognizes obstacles, giving it the ability to avoid falling over furniture and other objects.

The biggest improvement over the ECOVACS Deebot X1 is that it has a sleeker, more modern design thanks to Danish firm Jacob Jensen Design (best known for Bang & Olufsen products). The robot is still large--it has a height of more than two feet both height and depth, and weighs nearly four pounds. However, the robot and its base are smaller than the Roborock Q Revo or iRobot j7.

This version is also more efficient than the X1 one, because it has a faster charging speed for batteries and can handle a full cleaning of approximately 1,500 square feet in one charge. It also has a larger and more robust dust bin that can hold more debris. This makes it easier to empty.

The X2 Omni also has a more intuitive voice assistant and an app that works even if you are not at home. It also has more mopping modes and an intelligent routing feature that gives it the flexibility to clean specific rooms or areas of your home instead just following a set route.

The X2 Omni is the best robot for mopping. Its rotating mop pads clean tough stains and its motor produces lots of downward pressure. Its vacuuming performance is also excellent, and it increases suction when it senses a carpet to ensure a thorough cleaning. It comes with a huge rechargeable battery that can last up to seven days. The mopping mode of the robot is also extremely effective.

4. Dreametech L10s Ultra

The Dreametech L10s Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a high-end model that offers a number of features that aren't typically found on robots in this price range. It can create detailed floor maps and detect different types of flooring. It's also among the few robots that automatically clean and dry its mop pad. These features are nice but they also push the L10s into the premium category. This might make it more expensive than what homeowners would need.

The L10s Ultra looks like a modern floor cleaner. It's slim and tall with a white finish that is complemented by silver elements and mirror plating. The front of the machine features a large bumper that protects the vacuum cleaner and furniture when you are moving around your home. In the pane in the front is a second navigation technology in the form of sensors that help the L10s Ultra navigate around tight corners and avoid obstacles.

On the top of the vacuum, there is a single button which is used as an on/off switch. Pressing this will activate the vacuum, and pressing it again will turn off the vacuum and send it back to its base station. The central control panel is an oblique menu that allows you to select cleaning modes or schedules, as well as preferences. The left and right buttons will allow you to access the settings in the app, which allow you to customize how the L10s Ultra interacts with your home.

Similar to the iRobot Roomba S9+ and Roborock Q Revo, the L10s Ultra uses a combination of LIDAR and camera-based navigation techniques to map out your home. This creates a detailed floor plan that helps the robot vacuum and mop with ease without getting stuck in cluttered areas. The LIDAR assists the robot vacuum to avoid obstacles and identify them, which is an excellent feature for homes with pets or children.

The L10s Ultra offers solid vacuuming performance, clearing 98.4 percent of debris from our test on the hard floor and removing all but the most difficult juice stain. The mops also work well in removing 98.4 percent of the debris from our tile, carpet and wood tests. It was not as efficient in removing sand from the hard floor or quaker oats from the carpet.
